And read through the Aim Assist thread.Īhh - sorry I didn't realize there was already a bit of drama and feedback about this feature. At the top, in the time line ruler, it gives you a numeric readout of the specific point in time where the mouse pointer is positioned. PS - but I like this little tool! In case you're wondering what I'm talking about - it's a new feature that you can enable that creates a thin white vertical line in the clips pane that follows the movement of the mouse pointer. I'm really thinking there is something wrong on my end but I didn't see all this nonsense in V7 and nothing has changed on my system. This stuff can't possibly have gotten past a beta tester. There are too many odd visual annoyances going on in the clips/tracks panes.
SAMPLITUDE PRO X2 SNAPSHOTS DRIVERS
I'm really wondering if there's something goofy going on with my video drivers or something. Can anyone else confirm this? I swear this can't be happening. I noticed that when enabling and using the Aim Assist line - when I drag the line around the clips pane (just goofing around, moving the cursor back and forth to see how this new feature works), the dotted lines in the clips pane (the little dots that start at the beginning of each track and go until the first clip in the track) do strange things. Oddly, after this excersize, going back to the tracks pane makes them work normally. The grouping will work but it takes a longer time for the buttons to activate (they seem to turn on one at a time very slowly). PS - it gets EVEN WORSE if you try to group the buttons in the mixer pane. So there is something wrong with the record buttons - sluggish and not grouping correctly. In fact the Solo & Mute buttons pop on instantly.
Why they keep missing this from version to version is beyond me.ĭoing this to the Solo & Mute buttons works as expected. This particular problem has been around for a while now.
So there is something wrong (STILL AFTER ALL THESE YEARS) with color grouping the record buttons. I did one set with red and another set in blue and the red set flashes on and off but the blue set does not. But this behaviour depends on the color I use to group the controls. When I try to group a bunch of tracks in the tracks pane (like the record button for example), the buttons will flash on and turn off right away. I noted this problem right away but I wanted to go back and retest it after having done a reinstall. Hey man, have you tried to reproduce the issue I'm experiencing where Arm track is sluggish? Wether you can confirm or not, just say something? hehe Glad to hear this fix the problem on your system though. Anyway, it doesn't bother me that much but I can see where it might bother someone else. This is the first version where I'm getting that flashing so I suspect something has changed in the program to account for this. It seems less noticable when I switch to "Best Performance" (which is where it's normally been for past versions). Tried some of these things (and a few other graphics card adjustments) nothing made the problem go away 100%. Had to mention this because somebody may want to optimize their system for the best performance possible without having that stinking visual annoyance of the flashing CPU/Disk meter. At least, that's how it is in my experience.
SAMPLITUDE PRO X2 SNAPSHOTS WINDOWS
Use visual styles on windows and buttonsīy selecting Custom on the Visual Effects tab of Performance Options, these are the only two in the list that needs to be check marked for the flashing to remain gone. Thanks for sharing your observation and discovered fix for the CPU and Disk meter flashing! I discovered that 2 of the settings need to be check marked, and all the others can be unchecked for the flashing to remain gone. Since that change actually toggled about 20 individual settings within that dialog, I don't know which individual setting(s) actually corrected the problem(s). Strangely enough, the softsynth 1 second delay went away too. I'm on Vista 64 and when I changed Control Panel/System/Visual Effects from "best performance" to "let Windows choose", the flashing went away.
